The BID Initiative team works across three countries in the United States, Tanzania, and Zambia. This week, we learn more about Esther Mushi, Senior Program Assistant from the Dar es Salaam, Tanzania office.

What is your role on BID? My role is to support the overall team activities of the initiative by working closely with the Senior Program Administrator to provide administrative support to Director and Technical Leads as well as have the specific responsibility to monitor the project timeline and integrated work plan for BID Initiative Tanzania.

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? I wanted to be a nurse (I like their white uniforms).

What is one of your favorite quotes? “Man proposes, God disposes“.

What do you like most about your job? Budget preparation.

Do you have any hidden talents? Singing.

What are your hobbies? Cooking and playing with kids.

“Esther came onto the BID Initiative in mid-July of 2014. She has done an incredible job supporting Dr. Mwanyika and the entire Tanzania-based BID team. She does an amazing job coordinating travel, putting together meeting logistics, and providing additional support to Shamte. She is someone who is always willing to help, go the extra mile, and have a positive attitude along the way. We are truly blessed to have her on the BID team! – Kelly Fallt, Senior Program Assistant, Seattle
