Let’s Use Evidence-Based Interventions to Save the Lives of Children and Mothers
If 18,000 preschool kids and 800 moms were attending a World Cup game and they all died, no newspaper around the world would be silent. But that’s exactly what happens every day around the world: 18,000 kids die before they reach the age of five and 800 moms die during pregnancy or childbirth. The biggest tragedy is that in both of these cases, most of these deaths are preventable.

mHealth Summit Partners with mHealth Working Group and USAID to Launch Global mHealth Forum
The mHealth Summit announced it will host the Global mHealth Forum, a two-day co-located event, to focus on mobile and connected health in low and middle income countries (LMICs). The Global mHealth Forum, which will take place from December 10-11, 2014, is presented in partnership with the mHealth Working Group and USAID and will bring together public and private sector organizations to share the latest evidence, experiences and lessons learned on new applications and approaches in mHealth.
