The BID Initiative team works across three countries in the United States, Tanzania, and Zambia. This week, we learn more about Reuben Mwanza, Systems Implementation Specialist in Zambia.
What is your role on BID? I am responsible for the implementation of information systems and change management support in health facilities throughout the Southern Province.
What do you like most about your job? I enjoy traveling to different health facilities, I enjoy the challenge; I enjoy the responsibility and I enjoy being part the amazing team here in Zambia that is changing the world of eHealth.
What is one of your favorite quotes? “The heights by great men reached and kept were not attained by sudden flight, but they, while their companions slept, were toiling upward in the night.” – Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? When I was a child, we had a computer running on MS Dos, as soon as I learnt that you could play games on the computer, it was love at first sight and I wanted to be a video game programmer.
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be? Cinematography. I have a love for motion picture photography and I would love to learn more in this area.
What are your hobbies? Playing basketball, taking random pictures, visiting new places, and FIFA video games.
