Team Member Spotlight: Fred Njobvu

The BID Initiative team works across three countries in the United States, Tanzania and Zambia. This week, we learn more about Fred Njobvu, Provincial Coordinator in Livingstone, Zambia.

How do you define your role? I coordinate the implementation of the project, provide leadership, facilitate key activities and manage day to day aspects of the BID initiative in Livingstone, Southern Province of Zambia.

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? I wanted to become a Journalist.

If you could choose anyone, who would you pick as your mentor? Dr. Anne Merriman – Institute of Hospice and Palliative Care in Africa (Hospice Africa Uganda).

What is one of your favorite quotes? Bible verse; John 3:16 (For God loved the world so much that he gave his only begotten son, so that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life).

What was the last experience that made you a stronger person? Providing bereavement care to my father in law who had just lost a wife(mother in law).

Where was your favorite vacation? Lake Victoria in Uganda.
