We are pleased to announce that the BID Initiative is now on Facebook and Twitter! We are looking forward to further connecting with our country partners, key stakeholders, and those interested in our efforts towards achieving better immunization outcomes through improved data quality, collection and use. We encourage you to fan and follow us on Facebook and Twitter!

The BID Initiative is a country-owned, country-led initiative and from the start, was designed with an embedded peer-to-peer learning network, the BID Learning Network (BLN). Through the BLN, participants from many countries in sub-Saharan Africa iterate on the design and testing of tools and interventions. We have not come with predefined solutions and are instead partnering with countries to develop them. We are testing a range of potential solutions that have been successful in other scenarios which we can modify, connect, adopt, and leverage. We hope to use social media as an additional platform to connect and share developments on these solutions while driving awareness for the BID Initiative amongst the global health community.

We are in an exciting phase of the BID Initiative! Our team is actively testing interventions in health facilities in our demonstration countries, Tanzania and Zambia; and in the global health community, easy access to reliable data for evidence-based decision making is becoming increasingly important in effective health service delivery to save childrens’ lives.

We are looking forward to connecting with you and sharing the BID Initiative updates as we progress!
