The BID Learning Network (BLN)/Gavi Data Quality and Use (DQU) Collaborative convened a meeting between July 24-26, 2019 in Lusaka, Zambia. It was attended by 25 participants, including immunization data managers from Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Liberia, Malawi, Mozambique, The Gambia, Uganda, and Zambia. This post includes the full meeting reports, including French and English translations.

The BID Learning Network (BLN) invites you view a webinar presentation on “Building Capacity in Immunization Data Quality and Use through Mentorship: Introducing the BID Regional Mentors.” In its initial phase, between 2013 and 2018, the BID Initiative introduced a holistic package of interventions in Tanzania and Zambia that included information system products, data management policies, evidence-based practices, and capacity building to empower health workers at all levels of the health system toward data-driven action.

The BID Learning Network (BLN) invites you to watch our recent webinar entitled “Data Quality and Nominal Electronic Immunization Registries: Lessons Learned from Costa Rica.” Electronic immunization registries (EIRs) have been in existence in Latin America since the late 1980s with Uruguay and Mexico being among the first countries to implement EIRs in 1987 and 1991, respectively. Since then, most of Latin America, including Costa Rica, have been working towards implementing national EIRs. In this webinar, the presenter shares Costa Rica’s experience with implementing the national EIR.
