The BID Initiative team works across three countries in the United States, Tanzania and Zambia. This week, I am proud to be featured and hope you learn a little more about me as a Communications Associate in Seattle for the BID Initiative.

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be? Play a musical instrument.

What’s your favorite indoor/outdoor activity? Lately, it has been snowshoeing with my husband and dog.

What was the last experience that made you a stronger person? Building a deck with no experience.

Where was your favorite vacation? Colombia.

What is your proudest accomplishment? The impact I made while volunteering with an NGO in Peru. We worked to fight poverty focusing on education, nutrition & health, and cultural projects with children in a small village outside of Arequipa. I had planned to volunteer for 6 weeks and stayed for 6 months!

“Tara is the face behind almost all that you see when it comes to the BID Initiative’s digital communications channels. Since she joined the team, she’s hit the ground running, eager to learn everything about the work we’re doing so we can more effectively build the BID Initiative’s audience and communicate to our key stakeholders. In just a few short months, she’s helped launch our social media channels, increase our website traffic, and think through new ways to more deeply engage with our partners. Beyond this, her stellar work ethic and positive attitude make Tara a joy to work with.” – Monica Graham, Communications Officer, Seattle.

Check back next week to meet another BID Initiative team member!
