Team Member Spotlight: Mwanaidi Msangi

The BID Initiative team works across three countries in the United States, Tanzania and Zambia. This week, we learn more about Mwanaidi Msangi, Communications Associate from the Dar es Salaam, Tanzania office.
What is your role? My role on the BID Initiative is to communicate with our target key audiences and prepare key messages that will result in decision-making actions in Tanzania.
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? A doctor (gynecologist).
What’s your favorite indoor/outdoor activity? Cooking and praying.
What is one of your favorite quotes? “Do your best and let God do the rest”, Ben Carson.
Who is your hero? My father has always been my hero.
Where was your favorite vacation? Malaysia, especially the arts museums- wonderful displays, lovely to walk around.
Mwanaidi is responsible for our communications efforts in Tanzania and although she joined the team late last year, has quickly gotten up to speed and has been an asset to not only the communications team but the broader BID Initiative team in Tanzania as well. She has held a communications training for staff, developed Tanzania-specific communications materials, and consistently provides interesting content to capture the team’s efforts in Tanzania for the BID digital channels.
