Jamal

The BID Initiative team works across three countries in the United States, Tanzania and Zambia. This week, we learn more about Jamal Nassor, Office Coordinator/Senior Driver from the Arusha, Tanzania office.

How do you define your role? I manage transportation and the fleet in the Northern Zone, responsible for key support activities for the Zonal Coordinator in the overall operation in the area, and running the Arusha Office.

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? I wanted to be a lawyer.

If you could choose anyone, who would you pick as your mentor? I would choose Dr. Henry Mwanyika, BID Director Tanzania, to be my mentor.

What is one of your favorite quotes? “If you want to walk fast, walk alone, but if you want reach far, walk together”.

Where was your favorite vacation? My favorite vacation was in Zanzibar.

What are your hobbies? I like spending time with my family and I love wrestling.

“It is really fun working with Jamal, who is doing a great job making sure the Arusha office is well coordinated, all travels are well arranged, and no one visiting the Arusha office is stuck at the airport in Kilimanjaro figuring out how to get to Arusha. Jamal is ambitious and dedicated to his job and he always makes sure he does things to perfection. We are privileged to have Jamal as part of the BID Initiative Tanzania.” – Henry Mwanyika, BID Tanzania Director
